Clay also turned 29 this month! Happy Birthday husband! We had a wonderful weekend celebration. We ate donuts, took Sawyer golfing, ate hotdogs, ate crawfish, planned a vacation, watched Iron Man 3 and ate ice cream...think we ate enough? This is probably my favorite time to blog because there is nothing more precious than these sweet daddy/son pictures. They melt my heart everytime!
A little update on our life...Sawyer has been a wheezy, runny nosed child since the day he was born. Within the last few months it's been pretty yucky. After trying a few different antibiotics and medicines, we now have a little blue puppy dog nebulizer(breathing treatment) sitting in the living room that Sawyer uses daily. We've been given all the papers and information on asthma and we are prepared for this journey. The breathing treatment isn't easy, and for a while he would scream and cry through the majority of it, but it's starting to become more natural. Lots of tears have been shed through this, yet we are trusting the Lord and thanking him that there is a preventative medicine. After what we just watched happen in Moore, I have found myself just holding him during the treatment and constantly thanking the Lord that he is in my arms. Perspective can sure hit when we watch what is happening in our city right now. We believe that the Lord can heal SJ as well as the broken hearts of so many families right now and we are not afraid to ask for specifics...from a very specific God!
Sawyer is almost 16 months old! Within the last three weeks he has grown up so much! It's going way too fast! Everyday he learns a new word, a new skill, or a new way to play with his toys. Most of the time Clay and I just stare at each other and say, "What is happening?" I LOVE watching him grown up more than anything, but I wish we could stop time for a little bit! He is however, starting to take more of interest in books...which means more snuggling time for mommy!
Sawyer's vocabulary is constantly increasing, some words he will say only once, but clear as day. Yesterday I put his breakfast on his tray and he looked at me and said, "bacon?" Baah! He babbles nonstop and looks at me like I should know exactly what he is saying. He has learned to say "gentle" as he grins while pulling my hair...we are working on it :) He literally runs everywhere he goes! We taught him to say "go, go, go." So now he runs everywhere saying, "go, go, go!" The other day he had his sippy cup upside down, watching milk pour out, while looking at the milk saying, "go, go, go!" Oh, he is funny!!! I also think SJ is an official mimic. He does EVERYTHING Clay and I do...what a great way to keep us on our toes. :)
Thanks for loving our baby and our family! We are incredibly blessed!
Happy Mothers Day to me! I love being a mommy!
