Everyday Sawyer challenged me. He challenged me to laugh more, to smile more and to relax more! When I wake this little man up at 6:00am, he rolls over and grins from ear to ear. The boy just loves life! He loves to laugh! Of course, we have plenty of meltdowns, cranky moments, and broken hearts when things don't go our way...but overall he is full of joy! I love that he doesn't care if I had a crummy day, or I'm super exhausted...he just keeps on running and laughing! Who couldn't change their attitude when 24 pounds of joy stops for a slobbery kiss as he darts past on his way to his next mission? He constantly helps me see life for what it is and how so many of the silly little things can boggle me down. There is nothing more fulfilling than running in circles chasing a giggly child while the kitchen is piled with dishes and the laundry is overflowing! I wouldn't have said that 15 months ago...but being a mommy is transforming my perspective. I LOVE a clean house, graded papers, a home cooked meal, and a laundry room that smells like Downy...but... I LOVE Sawyer more!
This has been a crazy month for little Sawyer James. He has been moved from place to place constantly and has been such a little trooper! We are so blessed to have such a flexible baby! Poppa and Lolli came in town last weekend to watch SJ while Clay and I had an eventful weekend. The BFC Spring Tea was Saturday morning, Prom that evening, and I ran the 5K on Sunday! It was a little crazy, but we had a great time...and Lolli and Poppa got some quality SJ time! We are so thankful for our family and friends for helping make the weekend a success! My dad came and took care of all the nitty gritty behind the scenes stuff, and my mom used her incredible decorating talent to decorate six tables at the Tea. Thanks mom!
